September 20, 2017

Lately, we have been reminded that we are not in control of Mother Nature.  The damage done by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma will undoubtedly and unfortunately have a lasting effect not only on the property damaged but the souls of the individuals who were impacted.  NACM cares about the community and courts affected by these disasters and our hearts go out to them.  We added a link on our website where members can donate directly to the American Red Cross assisting with relief in the affected areas.

With court closures expected to last weeks in Texas and Florida, the storms have also reminded us that every court should have a disaster plan in place and it should be updated on a regular basis.  NACM recently held a webinar on Emergency Management – Disaster Preparedness.  You can find those resources on the NACM website under webinars.

Thinking and wishing well of our NACM Colleagues and all of those affected by these storms.

Sincerely,

Vicky Carlson, President
